Timothy Huffman

Timothy (Tim) Huffman, born on July 9, 1961, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2025 (had to get one last joke in).

Timothy was the fifth child of Joseph and Mary Huffman, born in Danville, Illinois.

Brother to Joseph, Diana, Elizabeth, Deborah, and Jim.

Husband of 40 years to Catherine Huffman.

Father to Angela, Mary, Melissa, Rebecca, Sarah, and TJ.

Grandfather to Tristen, Brantley, Stella, Aspen, and Elouise.

Friend to everyone he met.

To know Tim was to love him; the only thing bigger than his heart was his laugh, and his willingness to always help anyone in any way he could. His passions included model trains, the Chicago Cubs, sunsets, and scenic drives. However, his greatest love was for God, his wife, and his children.

If you asked any one of his kids, they would tell you that he hung the moon; he was their source of stability, unconditional love, and laughter no matter what came. That was the case not just for his kids, but for their friends too; Tim and Cathy’s home was a safe haven for many, and everyone who went there felt the love and warmth that surrounded their whole family.

As we bid farewell to Timothy Lee Huffman, we celebrate a life well-lived, one brimming with love. A devoted son, brother, husband, and father, whose absence will be deeply felt, the deep grief we feel is a result of deep love. However, we find solace in knowing that this is not a permanent separation, and we will be reunited with him again someday.
