Shirley Y. Campbell

Shirley Y. Campbell, 86, long-time resident of Fargo, ND, passed away in Bloomington, IN, with family present after a brief Illness. Shirley was born on April 20,1936, the daughter of Jacob and Bertha (George) Widmer in Fredonia, ND, and was raised in Crosby, MN and Fredonia, ND. Shirley married in 1959 and raised two sons. She spent more than 30 years as an attendance secretary at Ben Franklin Junior High and Discovery School and worked a second job at KXJB. Shirley was busy during her working years, but retirement is where she excelled. She was a loving grandmother to Collin and Caroline, active in her TOPs group, her Friday night dinner group, going on cruises, trips to see her grandchildren's sports school events, and spending time with all her wonderful friends.
Shirley is survived by her son Greg (Heidi) and grandchildren Collin and Caroline of Bloomington, IN. Two brothers Harris (Arlyce) Widmer, Fargo ND, Larry (Barbara) Widmer, Wichita, KS, as well as a special cousin, Peggy Cichos of Fargo. Shirley was preceded in death by daughter Marie and son Mark (Cathie).
