Sharon New Garmon
The kindest and most giving person was born November 14, 1955 in Indiana and chosen through adoption on December 13, 1955 by Emery and Ruby New of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sharon passed peacefully on June 10, 2024 in Alexandria, Kentucky where she lived with her daughter and grandchildren. Bowling Green is a place Sharon held close to her heart. She attended Warren Central High School and was known to be a glowing light and also a little wild. Wild is not only a way to describe her personality but also the way she drove. If you know you know and you survived! As she moved around the country she never knew a stranger in people and in animals. I know as she crossed over the rainbow bridge there would be her pack of animals waiting to get their scratches and belly rubs. Sharon is survived by her younger sister Cathy whom she adored and was very proud to be her big sister.
She was the type of mother and grandmother who supported you whole heartedly in anything you did whether big or small. For loved ones she was your biggest cheerleader and encourager, someone you could always count on for support. She was the type of mother you could call from college sick and she would drive the 10 hours to come take care of you. She was also the first one in a room up for taking a random roadtrip where you might wake up in a cotton field. If you knew her you knew what it was like to be truly loved.
Sharon Garmon is survived by her son Jeff Garmon and grandchildren Joshua and Aurora; daughter Melissa Hardman (Garmon), Melissa’s husband Joel Hardman, and grandchildren Lili, Joseph, and Emery; nieces and nephews and many friends.
Instead of flowers please send a donation to your local animal rescue and shelter in Sharon’s name.
