Richard Scott Hamilton of Greene County passed away on May 8th 2022 surrounded and loved by his family. Scott as he liked to be called was born February 11th 1954 in Linton Indiana. He he grew up in Owensburg Indiana and attended Eastern Greene High School. Scott lettered in four sports, but excelled at basketball. After high school he started working as a concrete finisher for Ican Sparks. He went on in life to be a concrete finisher and foreman at companies such as Wilhelm construction and Hubert Humphrey. He was a 49 year member of the operative plasters' and cement mansons and long time member of the amvets in Bloomington. Scott enjoyed racing both NASCAR and dirt track and for a short time raced his own sprint car. He took interest in many things including hunting, fishing and gardening. If he wasn't doing those he could be found in his garage working on cars. He is survived in death by his daughter Celeste Pearson (Jeromy Pearson) of Springville Indiana. Grand daughter Ariele Flynn of Bloomington Indiana. Great grandchildren Athena Cunningham and Asher Lucas of Bloomington Indiana. Brother Alex Hamilton of Bloomington Indiana. Sisters Juli Kirkpatrick (Jon) of Wichita,Kanas and Suella Mcgaw of Bloomington Indiana. Along with numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. Scott is preceded in death by his father Richard Eugene Hamilton and mother Joan Hamilton (Boruff) and man's best friend and loyal companion Toby. At this time graveside services are pending. At a later date a celebration of life will be held for Scott at his home for family and friends.
