Raymond C. Glasscock, 86, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on February 14, 2022. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, son of the late Avery and Mildred Glasscock.
He married Carole Mariager of Windsor, Canada on September 13, 1958.
Ray was an electrician in Chicago for many years until they moved to a farm in Wisconsin.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ray was a man of devotion and raised his family in the light of spiritual values. Ecclesiastes 7:1 says, "A good name is better than good oil," and Ray certainly made a good name with God and also with all those who knew him. He was a kind, loving husband and father who worked hard to care for his family. He was generous and self-sacrificing, always putting the needs of others ahead of his own. Ray also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and working on the farm.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Carole; his children, Dean Glasscock and his wife Deb of Florida, Deanna, and Debbie Rainer and her husband Aaron of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; brother Charles Glasscock of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
An online memorial service will held on Saturday, March 5 at 2 pm with Brother Scott Sullivan presiding.
