Ralph Frank Robertson

Ralph "Frank" Robertson, 69 of Ellettsville, passed away on February 8, 2025, in Bloomington, Indiana. Born on August 1, 1955, in Anderson, Indiana, Frank lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and love for his family and friends. 

Frank shared 53 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Rosemary "Sugar" (Mathis) Robertson. Together, they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. He was a devoted father to Amanda (Kenneth) Fleener of Jasonville, Kim (Mike) Taylor of Franklin, and Ralph "Frankie" (Jessica) Robertson of Bloomington. His legacy continues through his “damn grandkids”: Jamie & Ali, Cope & Brooke, Cheyenne & Jose, Michael & Brianna, Austin, Jacob, Jesse, Katelyn, Alayna, and Willow. Frank was also deeply loved by his mother Betty; his sisters Donna and Eva; his brothers Bill & John; sister-in-law Brandy; and his brothers-in-law Ray and Ronnie along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph; his sisters Peggy and Terrie; his brother Ronnie; and his great-grandchildren Sienna and Andre Espinoza. 

Frank had a passion for life's simple joys. He loved eating Chinese food and and even cooking at home. He enjoyed listening to classic '60s music, watching timeless television shows like The Andy Griffith Show and The Red Green show, working on race cars or cheering them on at the track, fishing on peaceful days. He could be found spending time with family—especially his grandkids and lip full of Skoal. To many who knew him, he wasn’t just a person but a "Papaw" to all. 

Known as the life of the party, Frank had an unmatched ability to bring laughter wherever he went. There was never a dull moment in his presence—he always had a joke ready to share. His generosity knew no bounds; he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His warmth and humor left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. 

Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May the joy he brought continue to shine through the stories shared by family and friends.
