Patricia A Engel

Patricia A Engel, 85 of Columbus, passed away Monday afternoon, 1/27/25 at Parkside Court/Independent Living. Pat was born in Osgood, IN 7/3/39 to Clarence (Moonie) and Edna Fellerman. 

Pat received a business degree and worked as an Executive Assistant at Reliance Electric and then at Bartholomew County Hospital/CRH for 30+ years. Working long hours, in a successful career and with no time for PTA meetings at her daughters school, she still made time to help Denise and Darcy with homework.

Church was a big part of Pat’s life, volunteering, setting up communion, singing in the choir and helping make quilts with a great group of ladies that met weekly, they sent off the quilts to people who needed them, she was proud of those quilts. 

Pat sang like a beautiful bird, singing soprano. Besides singing in the church choir she sang in weddings, at funerals and in a sorority group. She also played the piano and tried to teach her daughters.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bob. She is survived by her daughter Denise Engel (Lisa Elkins) - grandson Mason Engel; daughter Darcy Heyerdahl (Steve) - grandson Jake Heyerdahl (Lyla); younger brother JC Fellerman (Marilyn) - niece Heather Friziellie (Shaun) - Katie, Brayden & Taylor, as well as many other family members. Pat also leaves behind her best friend, Donna Kreinhop, since first grade. 

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
