Otto Eugene Keres Ii Jr.

October 30, 1950 — August 19, 2021

Otto Keres Jr. II of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 30, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to his mother Mary Jane (Helminger) Keres Larson and father Otto Eugene Keres Sr., step-father Thomas Larson. He was a legend of his time. He will be missed by many but his trade and skill of amazing custom bikes and cars will remain to live on. He raced motocross, winning trophies all over the United States, building the fastest cars and bikes miles cycle. He moved to Texas to become a skilled fisherman on Shrimp Net Boats journey out to sea. He was a Surfer -Beach Bum- loved to ride horses and be by the ocean. He opened a gas station and opened a custom paint shop called Prairie Custom Shop. He entered car and bike shows to almost always come home with a trophy. My dad lived a full life.
He is survived by his daughters; Amber June Keres (17), Michelle Ann Keres (51), Step-son Michail Brian Keres, granddaughters; Jeanette Ann Keres, Brianiah Ann Lulu (Coyre) Keres, and 2 great-grandkids, his sisters; Betty Keres of Los Angeles, Mary Ellen Singelton, Nancy Neitch of South Bend, aunts; Lirene Bice, Karen Heeter, Sandra Riel of Elkhart, uncles; Steve Keres and Frank Keres, his dog Roco and cat Buddy. He is also survived by a life that he saved, Mrs. Dombkowski. Mrs. Dombkowski had lost control of her car and plunged into the river. He saved her by jumping into the river and pulling her out of the frozen ice and out of the car she was driving. My dad Otto Keres Jr. saved her life and always carried two newspaper clippings with him untill he passed away.
