Nora Lou Yeager

December 18, 1937 — October 7, 2021

Nora Lou Yeager, passed on October 7th, at the Village at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh, Indiana after battling Parkinson's and cancer for several years.
She was survived by her children, Judi, Mike, and Wade Lamble, and their families. Nora was a lifelong educator who inspired her children, her students, and her community. She pursued her Doctorate in Education from Ball State University while serving as an Assistant Superintendent of Schools, followed by work as a school principal, in the Indiana State Department of Education, and as a professor of developmental reading for the Dallas Community College system.
Nora served tirelessly in her community. She opened her home to people in need, taught English to refugees, and helped to preserve the history and welcome the future of Richland City and Spenser County. Nora was a great cook, seamstress, and later in life, multimedia developer. Her favorite hymn was "Count Your Many Blessings."
The family requests that donations in Nora's memory be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. https://www.michaeljfox.org/donate
