Laura Beth Barnes

Laura Beth Barnes, born January 27, 1970, passed away at her residence on Sunday October 2, 2022. Laura, or LaLa, to her friends, loved to play Rummy, Canasta, Rook, Poker, marbles, crossword puzzle's and put together big jigsaw puzzles. She loved to go fishing in Cherokee Lake and loved her plants. Laura could bring plants back to live and they lived many years under her care. She loved the color pink, and music, specifically Classic Rock and the music of the 70's.
Laura wanted everyone that she loved to know that she always held her loved ones close to her heart. Even while suffering from her own depression, you always knew that you could call on her in times of need and distress.
Laura was preceded in death by her Father, Robert A. Barnes, Her incredible Mother, Janet Y. Barnes, her brother Kenneth E. Jolliff and her grandparents. She leaves behind her most beloved sons, whom she loved with all of her heart, Hunter G. Lykken (Courtney) Vincent K Bowling, her granddaughter Harmony P. Lykken, her sister Janet J. Iler (Terry) and her nephews, whom she was very proud of, Nathan and Matthew Iler (Alicia)
Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 15, 2022 at noon at Highland Community Ministries, 1228 E. Breckinridge St. 40204. Reception to follow. Dress is casual.
