Karan Lynette Burton, was born on June 21, 1955, in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. She graced this world for nearly 69 wonderful years before peacefully passing away on August 24, 2024, in Elizabethtown, Indiana, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Survived in death by her beloved mother, Elizabeth Calhoun, and her husband, James Burton. She was a loving mother to her children: Ryan Camplin, Tabatha Camplin, Jacquline Burton, and Fredrick Burton, and son-in-law Nathan Jost, who will carry her memories with them. Karan's role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she delighted in the lives of Christopher and Mathew Brown, J.D. Shepard, Logan and Adryen Smith, Conner, Cody and Cameron Burton, Aiden and Ameliah Burton. Karan's family included her brothers, Jack Calhoun Jr (Colette), Jeffrey Calhoun (Louann), and Jay Calhoun (Robin), as well as her sister-in-law Taresa Harpring (Sam) and brothers-in-law Michael Burton (Donna) and Dale Burton (Roxanne). She was predeceased by her father, Jack Calhoun Sr., her brother, Joseph Calhoun, her mother-in-law, Betty Everroad, and her daughter-in-law, Lori Camplin. Karan will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her. As we remember her, let us hold tight to the memories and the love she so generously shared.
