James William Samuel Allen

James William Samuel Allen, age 51, passed away on November 8th, 2024 at Nortons Hospital, Louisville, KY He was born on December 30,1972. The loving Husband of Barbara Franklin Allen, proud Father of Elizabeth Powell of Leitchfield, bonus Dad to Cory Blanton (Crystal) of South Carolina and Allison Franklin of Louisville, Kentucky. He was also the proud papaw of Finley James and Eydee May, who brought him so much joy. He also loved his cats Isabell and Wendy. Anyone who knew Jamie knew his passion was construction. Whether it be piddling around or helping a friend, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He was employed by Silman's Lawn, Land and Tree (Charlie Silman Owner). Jamie was a man with a wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of turning any situation into something lighter. He was an infectious storyteller and loved making others laugh. Though we will miss him terribly, Jamie’s legacy will live on in the stories we tell. We will remember him as a man who lived fully and loved deeply. He lived life on his terms with humor, humility, and a sense of adventure. Jamie is also survived by his parents John Sr. and Barbara Allen of Clarkson, Patty Allen Powers (Jason) of Brentwood, TN, John Allen Jr. (Mandy) of Leitchfield, Jeff Allen (Ashley) of Leitchfield. Along with multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held for the family at 5:00 Friday Nov. 15 at Clarkson Community Church.
