Jack D. Hall

1954 — 2025

Jack D. Hall, 70, of Appalachia, Virginia, departed this world on February 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, fierce intellect, and unwavering convictions. Born to Alice Adkins, who preceded him in death, Jack carried with him her strength, wit, and resilience. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan Porter Schneider, whom he loved dearly.

Jack is survived by Pamela Albacete, his partner in crime, laughter, and deep conversations about life’s absurdities. He also leaves behind Terri Hall, the mother of his greatest pride—his children: Dan Hall (Brooke), April Walsh, and John Tyler Hall. Though life took different turns, Shawn was always in his heart. His beloved grandchildren, Tommy Traylor, Dalyn Traylor, Trent Hall, and Nova Walsh, will carry forward his spirit, and maybe even his impeccable taste in music.

Jack was larger than life, impossible to ignore, and utterly unforgettable. He made us laugh. He made us think. He made us crazy. He was caring, sharp-witted, and deeply passionate, but he had no patience for nonsense or blind allegiance. Once a die-hard Republican, he spent 24 years exposing what he saw as the party’s betrayal, knowing—without a shred of doubt—that Trump was the devil incarnate.

He held fast to one universal truth: Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time. Debate at your own risk.

But above all else, Jack lived for his children. His pride in them was beyond words—SO SO SO SO SO immense. Everything they accomplished was a testament to the love,

In his honor, turn up the Zeppelin, question everything, and for the love of Jack—don’t be a fool.

Rock on, Jack. You’ll never be forgotten.
