Douglas Eugene Edds

Douglas Eugene Edds, born on February 28, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana, passed away on September 27, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones. A loved family man, Douglas, cherished every moment spent with his family, finding joy in activities ranging from fishing, gambling, hunting and watching sports, particularly the Colts and IU basketball.

Throughout his life, Douglas was the person everyone called for from fixing HVAC units to just being a helping hand or needing a word of advice.

Douglas is survived by his beloved wife, Missy Edds (Johnson), his three children: Rebeca (Rob) Riehle, Heather (Jeremy) Banfield, and Michael (Tanya) Edds, stepdaughter Maygen Pierce (Jason Sneed) , 13 cherished grandchildren who brought him immense joy, brother Eddie Edds, Sister Toni (David) Boyle, in-laws Sylvia and James Johnson, sister in laws Sissy Lewis and Janie (Billy) Harden.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Joann Edds, sister in law Pam Edds, and Grandson William Hines.

He found his faith as a devoted Christ follower at Cottonwood Community Church. His favorite place in the world was Lake Lemon and home with his wife and dog (Daisy) where he created countless memories with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered for his unwavering love for family, his passion for life, and his warm spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cottonwood Community Church.
