Charles Ray Hodge, Jr.

Charles Ray (Chuck) Hodge, Jr. passed from his earthly life on July 16, 2024. He was born to Charles Hodge, Sr. and Patty Jones (Salter) on December 3rd, 1968 in Bloomington Indiana. Chuck attended Thomas Brown and Stinesville Elementary Schools, Unionville Middle School, and Edgewood High School. He was baptized in adulthood at Dolan Ridge Community Church. 

Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and listening to a wide variety of music, including classic country, classic rock, and gospel. He had a fondness for dogs, especially Black Labrador Retrievers. Many years ago, Chuck had a Black Lab named Charlie, that was particularly special to him. 

Chuck is survived by his children Michael Hodge and Carissa Knight; his mother and step-father, Harold Salter; three sisters, Theresa Cracraft, Terri Mages, and Pam Fargo; five brothers Danny Anderson, Roger Gardner, Brad Gardner, Joe Salter, and Robert Salter; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, step-mother Wyvetta Hodge, and sister Lisa Davis. A private memorial service will be held. Chuck’s final resting place will be at Chambersville Cemetery on Countyline Rd. in Spencer, IN.
