Carl Glenn Harney Sr.

Carl Glenn Harney Sr., was born on May 16,1948 in Harrison, KY, to Mr. Harvey J. Harney & Zella Mae (Yoste) Harney. He passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Martinsville, IN after his battle with cancer. Carl is survived by his wife, Deborah Harney and his children, Carl Harney Jr. (Renee), My-le Mai (Hank), Michael Harney (Theresa), Promesa Reynolds (Steve) and close family friend, Marshall Moore, who Carl considered and treated like his son, and 13 grandkids whom he loved very much.
Carl loved to watch and hear about his grandkids in their different sports and activities. Carl was also very grateful to get to meet his daughter from Vietnam, My-le and her family.
Carl served in the Army 101st Airborne during the Vietnam war from 1968 to 1970. Carl was a member of the Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization, VFW of Mooresville, Indiana, the Freemasons of Monrovia, Indiana, Indiana ABATE and other motorcycle trike clubs.
He will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends in his community that he has touched deeply.
A celebration of life will be held on at the Mooresville VFW 411 S. Indiana St, on Friday April 22 from 12-4, with military honors at the closing.
