Andrew Alan Leininger was born on August 15, 1981, to Alan and Margo (Hall) Leininger in Sylvania Ohio. He passed away suddenly this first week of December at age 43 in Florence Kentucky. In addition to his parents, "Drew" leaves behind his brother Kevin (Tess) Leininger, his maternal grandmother Eleanor (Fred) Hall, nieces Matilda and Beatrix Leininger, aunts Leslie (Rick) Watza, Linda Leininger, Kathy (Steve) Fronk, and nearly two dozen cousins.
Drew graduated from St. Johns Jesuit High School in Toledo, where he played trombone in the marching and jazz bands. He continued his education at Miami University in Oxford Ohio. While at Miami, Drew took a job at Skippers which started his lifelong employment in the restaurant business. Over the next two decades, he worked every job from dish washer to Executive Chef. He worked at restaurants in Oxford, Lake Tahoe, Cincinatti, Toledo and Detroit. Drew loved to cook and create and there wasn't a Food Network show he didn't love to watch and critique.
In his spare time Drew would play Magic tournaments, listen to his vast collection of vinyl, cheer on the Tigers and the Reds, and kayak on the Maumee River and Lake Erie.
Drew is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest in peace Drew!
