Shane Derek Akers

On Monday October 10, 2022, Shane Derek Akers passed away unexpectedly at the age of 39 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shane was born on April 29, 1983 in Michigan City, Indiana. Shane loved his family with all his heart and worked hard to make sure they were always taken care of. He even had a way to make sure the they were enjoying the little moments, just as much as the big ones. He had the biggest heart and would give the shirt off of his back to help someone in need. He once said, "A man isn't a man unless he's got heart."
Shane Akers is survived by his mother Charity Staff, partner Susan Dennis, daughter Victoria, grandfather Jerry Staff, brothers Branden (Nicole), and William, sisters Morgan (Jonathan),and Megan, nephew August Lerek Moon, niece Carolynn Seles, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Preceded in death with his grandmother Carolyn "Cookie" Staff.
A beloved partner, father, son, grandson, brother, and uncle was lost, but will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
